Glen A. Buecker is the Marching Percussion Coordinator and Webmaster for the University of Oklahoma School of Music. He is also working to complete his PhD in Music Education.

Mr. Buecker has earned a Master’s degree in Percussion Performance from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Music Education for the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Buecker taught band, percussion, music theory, and music technology for a decade at schools in Oklahoma and Ohio. Mr. Buecker is a former member and instructor of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps.

While in high school, Mr. Buecker became a member of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps where he marched from 1983-1988. He taught the Blue Devils percussion section from 1990-1996 winning several percussion and world championships.

In 1996, Mr. Buecker began his public school teaching at Union High School in Tulsa, OK. He served as the district percussion instructor and assistant band director though 2005. Mr. Buecker served as interim head director during the 2005 school year.

After a brief stint in Ohio, Mr. Buecker entered the PhD program in Music Education at the University of Oklahoma in 2006 specializing in classroom technology and curriculum design.

Mr. Buecker an active adjudicator across the country with DCI and WGI. He is an active arranger and clinician for both high school and college groups.

The Pride of Oklahoma marching band is endorsed by Yamaha, Vic Firth, and Zildjian.
