Mr. Jay Wilkinson |
Jay Wilkinson is a member of the International Association of Jazz Education. He has maintained a professional career including composing, arranging, and performing in addition his teaching duties. Wilkinson is a member of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and Lyric Theater's pit orchestra which has allowed him the opportunity to perform with Manhattan Transfer, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, and Mercedes Ellington.
Mr. Wilkinson received his master's degree from the University of Oklahoma and began teaching at the University of Oklahoma in January of 1998. Along with his teaching duties at the university he is also a member of the University Brass Quintet.
