Jeff E. Jahnke serves as Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Oklahoma. His primary responsibilities include assisting with the recruiting, teaching, selecting shows, and administrative duties of The Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band. Mr. Jahnke also serves as Conductor of the OU Concert Band and assists with the other concert ensembles as well. He additionally coordinates the Men's and Women's Sooner Showmen Basketball Bands. He is also actively involved in the music education program.

Mr. Jahnke has taught for twelve years in the public schools most recently at Jenks High School in Jenks, Oklahoma where bands under his direction twice performed at the Bands of America National Concert Band Festival and the Oklahoma State Music Educators Association state convention. Previous positions include Director of Bands at Putnam City North High School and Assistant Director of Bands at Moore High School.

Mr. Jahnke, a former drum major of the Pride of Oklahoma, received a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1994. Further degree work was completed at Oklahoma State University in 2004 where he was awarded a Master's Degree in Conducting and Music Pedagogy. Mr. Jahnke was named the Outstanding Young Band Director in Oklahoma in 1996. His professional associations include the College Band Directors National Association, Oklahoma Music Educators Association, and Phi Beta Mu.
