Brian A. Britt is Assistant Director of the School of Music, Associate Director of Bands, and Director of The Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band at the University of Oklahoma. He guides all aspects of the Pride including recruiting, teaching, charting drill, selecting shows, and administrative duties. Mr. Britt serves as Conductor of the OU Symphony Band and assists with the other concert ensembles as well. He is actively involved in the music education program and teaches Marching Band Techniques and Administration to upper-level music education students. Additionally, Mr. Britt serves as the Associate Director for Undergraduate Studies for the School of Music, Kappa Kappa Psi Southwest District Governor, and is Faculty Advisor for the Delta Chapters of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma.

Mr. Britt taught for nine years in the public schools of Oklahoma and Texas, most recently at McNeil High School in Round Rock, Texas. His collegiate experience includes four years as the Associate Director of Bands at Stephen F. Austin State University and one year as Interim Associate Director of Bands at Texas Christian University. While at SFASU, Mr. Britt was Director of the Lumberjack Marching Band and had an extensive role in the music education program, teaching courses in instrumental methods, marching band techniques and conducting.

Mr. Britt, a native of Durant, Oklahoma, earned both his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music (percussion) degrees from the University of Oklahoma. His professional associations include the College Band Directors National Association, Oklahoma Music Educators Association, Phi Beta Mu, Pi Kappa Lambda, Kappa Kappa, Psi, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Tau Beta Sigma (honorary), and Kiwanis International.
