The Pride of Oklahoma had a fantastic 2007 football season that included a first-ever appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City! Additionally, the Pride appeared at the Big XII Championship in the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. The season concluded as Pride members enjoyed a fantastic 7 day trip to Tempe, AZ. While in the Phoenix area, the Pride performed at multiple events, attended the Fiesta Bowl's New Year's Eve Block Party, and spent time enjoying the scenic landscape of the "Valley of the Sun."

The 2008 season will include full-band trips to Dallas, College Station, and Stillwater to support the Sooners at the Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State games respectively. Additionally, pep bands will travel to Seattle, WA, Waco, TX, and Manhattan, KS.

The 300-member "Pride of Oklahoma" has been supporting Sooner Spirit for over a century. The 2007 Pride included members from 15 states, including students from virtually all colleges and departments on campus, enrolled in more than seventy different academic majors. The 2007 Pride had an average GPA of 3.25 and an average ACT of 26.7. Over one-third of the student members in the Pride are involved in various distinguished academic programs including: the National Scholars Program, University Scholars, President's Scholars, and the Honors College. The Pride of Oklahoma stands for excellence in musicianship, academics, school spirit, and commitment to our role in the surrounding community.
